New appointments strengthen Vicor’s European growth
Due to the success in Central Europe and the significant growth of its Eastern European business Vicor is investing in its European sales organisation and announces the appointment of Catalin Tachiciu as Regional Sales Manager Germany, Switzerland and Denmark and Hannes Schachenmayr to Regional Sales Manager Eastern Europe.
Hannes Schachenmayer, who was one of the founding employees of the German office, has created a strong distributor network and successfully developed the customer base in these markets for Vicor over the past 14 years. He has over 20 years’ experience in the power supply business and will now focus his expertise on building the Eastern European market for Vicor, which is an important and growing part of Vicor’s international business.
Catalin Tachiciu, 45, who joins Vicor from Rohm Semiconductor, brings extensive experience with him. He graduated from Munich University with a degree in electronics and telecommunications and started his professional career in the semiconductor industry with Analog Devices. Prior to this he worked for Premier Farnell in Germany and has held a number of leading positions in the IT and semiconductor industry building a strong sales and marketing focus in established and emerging markets.
